Time travel simplified

Back back back back back back back back in time
                                                I can dream, it’s a simple thing
                                                                                         I’m building a time machine…
Safety Not GuaranteedThe ad reads: Wanted: Somebody to go back in time with me. This is not a joke. P.O. Box 91 Ocean View, WA 99393. You’ll get paid after we get back. Must bring your own weapons. Safety not guaranteed.
And with that, reporter Jeff Schensen from Seattle Magazine sets out with interns Darius and Arnau to investigate the man behind the ad. However, it is not Jeff who gets the opportunity to get to know this enigma, but the shy and jaded Darius, who wins him over. Safety Not Guaranteed is a whimsical tale filled with humor and wit, one you’ll gladly give up 86 minutes of your time for.
 Primer
What happens when four friends build something that can give them everything, and how far are they willing to go? In Primer, these ideas are explored to a breaking point when all four friends leave trust behind and set out on their own missions, jeopardizing each other and sometimes themselves for their own noble or selfish causes. An adventure both simple and complex, this movie shows us that science fiction doesn’t have to be big and grand to be entertaining.
In Idiocracy, Private Joe Bauers is an average Joe and for that very reason is selected to be part of the military’s Human Hibernation Project along with a civilian, Rita. When the project gets forgotten, Joe ends up waking up 500 years later and mankind isn’t what it used to be. Joe is desperate to find a time machine to get him back, but is having trouble communicating in a world that doesn’t know how to communicate…it also doesn’t help that he is the most intelligent person alive.

  1. Ah, Idiocracy is a little known, but wonderfully funny film. Thanks, Kara! I will check the other two out very soon.
