Speaking of getting to know great music through the library, I was introduced to a fantastic band called The Army Corp of Architects recently at The Seattle Public Library’s All Ages Arts Night.

The band is local and new, so they don’t have a published CD you can get through the library yet, but they have a website where you can check out their music: http://www.myspace.com/thearmycorps.

Thanks SPL for reminding me of our great local music scene!

I love this! Very Handy & Helpful, and I look forward to more mini tutorials on how to get the most of the of library’s services and catalog. There are so many library users, new and seasoned, who can benefit from this kind of thing. I read somewhere that in times of recession public library use goes up, which may help explain why our libraries (and busses) seem busier now then ever.

Wow! Thank you so much. Can you make more of these for the blog. I could use a little help with downloading the library e-audio books. Could you make a video to show me that? Thanks!

  5. Toby says:

Jonah, that’s a great idea! Until then, here are some video tutorials provided by the digital book vendors we use:

Wow, this is excellent. I had no idea the library had all these resources. The search facility is really helpful and the tutorial so succinct and easy to understand.
