On Thursday, August 1st at 6:30 p.m., come join us at the Capitol Hill Branch of the Seattle Public Library for a reading and discussion with author, educator, and transgender advocate, Jamison Green.
Mr. Green has spent over 25 years working for transgender civil rights, health, and social safety. Starting with a grass-roots support group in San Francisco in 1988, he quietly led a community-building social movement that is changing the world. An award-winning activist, inspiring speaker, legislative provocateur, and role model for thousands of transgender people, he is also President-Elect of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health.
Mr. Green is one of the world’s most visible and influential trans men, and will be the keynote speaker at the Gender Odyssey Conference here in Seattle. He will read from his acclaimed book, Becoming a Visible Man, and engage in dialogue. The program will run from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. All are welcome, and no reservations are required. The Capitol Hill Library is located at 425 Harvard Ave. E. and the phone number is 206-684-4715.
