Star Wars Countdown Day Two: The Original Trilogy

-posted by Jason Lee B. Don’t forget to read Star Wars Countdown Day One, too!

Are you excited for Episode VII? My stomach is all aflutter. Maybe some blue milk will calm it down. Today let’s look at the different versions of the Original Trilogy. Of course the Library has a bit of a wait for the DVDs, but you can get in line now!

Small ones may enjoy this version by Tony DiTerlizzi or the Lego version by Emma Grange. People of all ages who enjoy graphic novels may like this one by Howard V Chaykin. There’s also the music by John Williams or a retelling by Alexandra Bracken.

I had totally forgotten about the read-alongs until I shelved one the other day. Randy Thornton did this one. There’s also the graphic novel, the picture book by Geof Smith, and The Making of Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back.

Have you heard about the Original Radio Dramas? There’s also the Randy Thornton read-along, the picture book by Geof Smith, and a four volume graphic novel series by Adam Gallardo. And you shouldn’t miss the Shakespeare version by Ian Doescher, The Jedi Doth Return!

I will be watching the marathon at Cinerama starting at 1 a.m. on Thursday morning. I hope the Force will be with me during Empire Strikes back–I can never seem to stay awake during that one. Enjoy your Wars in the Stars, and may the Force be with you!
