Seattleites love to travel (or at least love to read travel books). While the library has a large collection of travel books in print, they are not always available when you want them. OverDrive, our ebook provider, had a small collection with limited destinations.
Until now.
The Seattle Public Library has added 75 travel guides from Lonely Planet to our OverDrive ebook collection to help you plan the perfect trip. Stay close to home and explore Banff, Jasper and Glacier National Parks in B.C., or venture further afield to Colorado. Considering a trip to Europe? Whether you’re visiting major cities like London or Paris or venturing off the beaten path to Southeastern Europe, Lonely Planet has you covered. Going further afield? From Argentina to Vietnam, and from Madagascar to Maui, Lonely Planet is your guide.
But the best news of all — these titles are always available. There’s no wait, and you can check out as many titles as you like, and renew them as many times as you wish! It’s the perfect solution to help you plan your trip, and an excellent alternative to lugging books around that take up valuable space in your suitcase or backpack. And OverDrive’s new app, Libby, allows you to download ebooks so you can read offline. You may be in a remote part of the world, but you’ll never be lost.
