The Seattle Public Library will update this page every day to help keep you informed about any unplanned closures or schedule disruptions in our 27 locations across the city. Anticipated Branch Closures Jan. 14-16 and Jan. 17 Holiday

Due to anticipated staff shortages Friday-Sunday, Jan. 14-16, The Seattle Public Library branches below will be closed on the day listed. All locations of The Seattle Public Library will be closed on Monday, Jan. 17 in observance of MLK Jr. Day.

Book returns at the branches listed below will remain open. The book return at the Central Library will be closed on Monday, Jan. 17, however. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022 Branch Closures

  • Madrona-Sally Goldmark Branch, 1134 33rd Ave., Seattle
  • Montlake Branch, 2401 24th Ave. E., Seattle
  • International District/Chinatown Branch, 713 Eighth Ave. S., Seattle
  • Wallingford Branch, 1501 N. 45th St., Seattle

Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022 Branch Closures

  • Green Lake Branch, 7364 E. Green Lake Dr. N., Seattle
  • Montlake Branch, 2401 24th Ave. E., Seattle
  • NewHolly Branch, 7058 32nd Ave. S., Seattle

Monday, Jan. 17, 2022 – MLK Jr. Day

  • All locations of The Seattle Public Library will be closed on Monday, January 17, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
